Sheehan & Company - Bulletin - Recent News: Cynthia Finn is Promoted to Partner

Sheehan & Company is pleased to announce that Cynthia D. Finn, CPA, has been promoted to partner. Ms. Finn joined Sheehan & Company in 1990 and has a diverse professional background, which includes forensic accounting, fraud investigations, auditing, tax planning and consulting. Ms. Finn works closely with attorneys and clients in preparing cases for trial and arbitration in matters of construction claims, lost earnings, matrimonial and shareholder disputes.

Ms. Finn will divide her time co-directing the Company's growing litigation support practice and as a general client service partner. She has broad-based experience with companies in a wide range of industries including construction, retail, restaurant, not-for-profit and technology. "Cynthia is a wonderful additional to our partner team" said John DeFalco, Partner at Sheehan & Company. "Her extensive background and skills has enhanced all operations at our firm, and we are pleased to promote her to partner."

As an active member of the Suffolk Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), Ms. Finn is currently the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors. She is also co-chairperson of its Cooperation with Attorney Committee and one of the founding members of the first New York State Young CPAs Committee, which provides a forum to develop leadership, public speaking and networking skills. She is also the 2003 recipient of the prestigious Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award, which recognizes distinguished and exceptional public service accomplishments. Ms. Finn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from St. Joseph's College and a Masters in Taxation from Long Island University.
