Kevin J. Ryan, JD, CPA served as managing partner of Sheehan & Company from July 1993 through 2015; he has been head of the tax department since he joined the firm. Kevin specializes in income tax planning, both individual and corporate, estate taxes, including the planning and administration stages, as well as retirement and financial planning.
Prior to joining Sheehan & Company, Kevin worked for the Internal Revenue Service as an IRS agent, and then as an Appelette Conferee. He was a member of the organization's Speakers Bureau, and lectured to various organizations on tax matters.
A native Long Islander, Kevin attended Chaminade High School. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from St. Bonaventure University. He holds a Master's Degree in Taxation from St. John's University, and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
Kevin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax Division, and a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Among his other memberships are the Suffolk County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Estate Tax Planning Association. He has been on the Board of Directors of several charitable and civic organizations.
