Sheehan & Company Managing Partner Thomas J. Novak Retires

Effective July 31, 2022, Managing Partner Thomas J. Novak, CPA will be retiring from Sheehan & Co, CPA, PC after 43 years at the firm. Tom has played a key role in growing our client base and expanding our service offerings over the years. He has served as Managing Partner since 2016.


Tom has serviced clients both domestically and internationally, providing expert guidance in many industries: construction, government, real estate, manufacturing, professional services, retail, not-for-profit and hospitality. He also led our Litigation Support Practice.


Tom is a Past-President of the NYSSCPA-Suffolk Chapter and served as a Director on the Statewide Board. He has chaired the Construction and Real Estate Committees. Tom has also served his community as an Officer and Director of the Smithtown Little League, Founder and President of the Smithtown Junior Golf League, Chair of the Smithtown Central School District Audit Committee and as financial advisor and director of several religious and not-for-profit organizations.


Although the time has come for Tom to begin to explore the benefits of retirement, he will continue to serve the firm as a consultant on special projects and will be available to serve clients on a part-time basis.
