Sheehan & Company Welcomes Paul Becht, CPA, as Partner
Brightwaters, NY — September 8, 2026 — Sheehan & Company is pleased to announce that Paul Becht, CPA, has joined the firm as Partner.
Paul brings over 30 years of experience overseeing audits and reviews of companies across a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, real estate, and the service industry. He is also skilled in taxation and auditing employee benefit plans, and provides clients with guidance on accounting policies and procedures to improve operations and strengthen internal controls.
A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Paul is regularly quoted as an expert source for leading business and trade publications. Throughout his career, he has also been active in staff training and mentoring.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oswego State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He began his career at a regional CPA firm, progressing from staff to partner, before joining a national firm.
He is an active member of the New York State Society of CPAs, currently serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors and co-chairing the Nassau/Suffolk Chapter's Accounting & Auditing Committee. He is also a member of the Risk Management Association, where he serves as Treasurer and Director of the Long Island Chapter, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Paul has held leadership positions with several charitable organizations throughout Long Island and New York City.
Paul lives in Glen Cove, New York, with his wife, Kelly, and their two children.
